Bulletin for Sunday – February 2, 2020

Hi Everyone,
Well here we are in February; well tomorrow anyway. And Spring is that much closer. 🙂
Here is this week’s bulletin. You will notice the change in the order of service; emphasizing communion; our love for God; Scripture reading; testimonies. Pray for a great service in uplifting one another and honoring our Lord.
Sincerely,
Pastor Dave
PS I am also attaching the worship handout with the lyrics for “How Beautiful” and the Scriptures we will be reading.

Bulletin for Sunday – January 26, 2020

Hello Everyone,
It looks like we will be able to have church tomorrow. Steve cleared the ice with the tractor on Thursday, and I cleared the snow yesterday. I went to the church earlier and it is looking pretty good. If anyone can come early before Sunday School to put down ice melt in the morning that would be great. If you could let me know that you would help with this, I would appreciate it.
Here is this week’s bulletin.

No prayer meeting; no missions committee meeting tonight – January 22, 2020

No prayer meeting; no missions committee meeting tonight – January 22, 2020

I just walked over to the church (in my Yaktrax), and the parking lot and sidewalks are still covered with crunchy snow on top and ice below. I had hoped for the 36 degrees and sunshine they forecast a few days ago but that isn’t what is happening. Also, they are forecasting an “icy mix” for this evening.
Steve Sowers is hoping to scrape the parking lot with his tractor tomorrow—Thursday. Hopefully the temps will stay a little warmer; sunshine would be great. I will put down ice melt when it seems appropriate but for now it would be a waste of time and resources.
I don’t know about the status of the constitutional review committee meeting scheduled for 6 pm Thursday—January 23. I will wait to hear back from Steve after he scrapes the parking lot.
My temptation is (more than once I sadly admit and repent in dust cloth and ashes) to complain about the ice and snow, but God reminds me that we did have that window of opportunity on January 12, and we were able to have our annual meeting. Praise you, Mighty God.
Sincerely,
Pastor Dave

ALL SERVICES AT FAITH FELLOWSHIP CHURCH OF TENNESSEE, IL CANCELED FOR JANUARY 19, 2020

ALL SERVICES AT FAITH FELLOWSHIP CHURCH OF TENNESSEE, IL CANCELED FOR JANUARY 19, 2020

Hi Everyone,
There is no reason to delay a decision. Steve Sowers was just over to the church, and as we suspected everything is covered with a sheet of ice. With the wind increasing and the temperatures falling this will only get worse so we are canceling all services tomorrow.
If you need anything and cannot get out, please give me, Steve or another board member a call and see if we can help.
Sincerely,Pastor Dave

Praise God for a successful annual meeting last Sunday

Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow
What a tremendous blessing it is to have another annual meeting “in the books.” Thanks to everyone who helped with the meeting and the sumptuous potluck. Also, thanks to all of you who came out so we could hold our meeting. I believe that God is growing us up together in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Let’s make it our aim to please him in everything we do in 2020. I have joyful anticipation of the continued mighty working of God in our fellowship.

Bulletin for Sunday – January 19, 2020

Good Morning to You,
Here is this week’s bulletin. I am not sure yet if we will be able to have services tomorrow. We are going to survey the ice situation at the church this afternoon and then decide. The thought for now is to have church for those who can make it, but if we can’t clear the ice then that probably won’t happen either. Praise God we were able to have our annual meeting last week.
Sincerely,
Pastor Dave
