The following is from a note from one of Leonard’s daughters:

On June 5 my dad has the honor of going on the Honors Flight to Washington DC; my sister Kim is his sponsor. Coming home they do mail call. Each veteran on the flight will be given an envelope of cards/letters from friends and family, appreciating their service. I’m asking my friends/family to send a card/letter for my dad. The address is Leonard O. Haines, ℅ Aline Wallace, PO Box 409, Cuba, IL 61427-0409. I know he would appreciate hearing from you. Cards/letters are to be there by May 25. Thanks for your thoughtfulness and thanks to all veterans for their service. God bless the USA.
