Proverbs 6:16-19 CSB

Proverbs 6:16-19 CSB
[16] The LORD hates six things; in fact, seven are detestable to him: [17] arrogant eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, [18] a heart that plots wicked schemes, feet eager to run to evil, [19] a lying witness who gives false testimony, and one who stirs up trouble among brothers.

Shepherding Through Hostility / Pastoral Reflections on Ecclesiastes 7 /
Jared C. Wilson / August 12, 2019

Got this on Twitter, Baby! That’s right.
Okay so here is a bit of information for those of you who do not see the value of social media. I found this excellent article (as I have so very many) on my Twitter feed. So there, smarty pants. 🙂

Excellent … Excellent …

This is what we will be studying this Sunday evening. Mark it down, mate. 🙂 You want to read this.

Bulletin for Sunday – February 2, 2020

Hi Everyone,
Well here we are in February; well tomorrow anyway. And Spring is that much closer. 🙂
Here is this week’s bulletin. You will notice the change in the order of service; emphasizing communion; our love for God; Scripture reading; testimonies. Pray for a great service in uplifting one another and honoring our Lord.
Sincerely,
Pastor Dave
PS I am also attaching the worship handout with the lyrics for “How Beautiful” and the Scriptures we will be reading.

Bulletin for Sunday – January 26, 2020

Hello Everyone,
It looks like we will be able to have church tomorrow. Steve cleared the ice with the tractor on Thursday, and I cleared the snow yesterday. I went to the church earlier and it is looking pretty good. If anyone can come early before Sunday School to put down ice melt in the morning that would be great. If you could let me know that you would help with this, I would appreciate it.
Here is this week’s bulletin.

No prayer meeting; no missions committee meeting tonight – January 22, 2020

No prayer meeting; no missions committee meeting tonight – January 22, 2020

I just walked over to the church (in my Yaktrax), and the parking lot and sidewalks are still covered with crunchy snow on top and ice below. I had hoped for the 36 degrees and sunshine they forecast a few days ago but that isn’t what is happening. Also, they are forecasting an “icy mix” for this evening.
Steve Sowers is hoping to scrape the parking lot with his tractor tomorrow—Thursday. Hopefully the temps will stay a little warmer; sunshine would be great. I will put down ice melt when it seems appropriate but for now it would be a waste of time and resources.
I don’t know about the status of the constitutional review committee meeting scheduled for 6 pm Thursday—January 23. I will wait to hear back from Steve after he scrapes the parking lot.
My temptation is (more than once I sadly admit and repent in dust cloth and ashes) to complain about the ice and snow, but God reminds me that we did have that window of opportunity on January 12, and we were able to have our annual meeting. Praise you, Mighty God.
Sincerely,
Pastor Dave
