REVELATION MESSAGE 30 – Revelation 22 – The Words of This Book – ffc – 062517<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\u201cThus says the LORD\u201d \u2026 <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n\n- \u201cThus says the LORD\u201d \u2026 That phrase is found 417 times in the English Standard Version \u2026 419 times in the New American Standard Bible \u2026 and 415 times in the King James Version as \u201cthus saith the LORD.\u201d <\/span><\/li>\n
- It is one of my favorite phrases in the Bible, and I love to hear it over the radio from the old preachers such as J. Vernon McGee, Vance Havner, A. W. Tozer or Oliver Greene\u2014\u201cThus saith the LORD.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n
- And maybe as we listen to these old preachers, maybe that AM signal barely reaches our location, and we hear the background static, the familiar crackling that provides the ambience that only radio gives. But there is no static, no fuzziness, in the message delivered\u2014\u201cThus says the LORD\u201d … God has spoken. <\/span><\/li>\n
- Do not miss the obvious. Do not allow anything to distract us or obscure the words. Just as the Spirit spoke to each of the seven churches\u2014”He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches\u201d\u2014Christ speaks to us.<\/span><\/li>\n
- God speaks his word to humanity\u2014\u201cThus says the LORD\u201d … Since the first week of creation, and until he closes the chapter on earth history at the final judgment, God speaks to us. In the past he spoke through his prophets and apostles, and now he speaks through faithful preachers. God speaks his word. <\/span><\/li>\n
- The overwhelming testimony for the entire history of this earth will be that God spoke his word to every generation, including us \u2026 now \u2026 this morning \u2026 <\/span><\/li>\n
- So what might God want us to hear this morning? What message might he have for us from the last chapter of the last book of the Bible? What recurring themes do we hear? What does he emphasize? <\/span><\/li>\n
- Not surprisingly, he emphasizes his words. He tells us that his words are faithful and true. He tells us that we are blessed if we keep his words. And he tells us to not mess with his words; no adding to or taking away.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
