Will it stand the judgment of God?<\/h3>\n<p>Jesus Christ wants us to check our foundation. Make sure that we have entered by the narrow gate that brings us to the difficult road that leads to life. Make sure we have not fallen for the wide, easy way that leads to destruction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>He ends his Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) with these exhortations and warnings.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Check the gate, 7:13-14.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Don\u2019t let anyone lie to you, 7:15-20.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Don\u2019t lie to yourself, 7:21-23.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Build on Rock, 7:24-29.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But the devil doesn&#8217;t want you investigating, examining. Our dark enemy wants you to assume that all is well. In fact, if you allow him to do so, the devil will stir your pride and arrogance against anyone who would dare call your salvation into question.<\/p>\n<p>So think about it!<\/p>\n<p>Christ urges us to make sure our faith is authentic. Where does that leave the people who are indignant when we follow his example and prod people to make sure their foundation is Christ and Christ alone?
